Hammerhead™ Aluminum Flood Planks
The Hammerhead™ aluminum panel flood barrier system is a durable stop log flood barrier that enables you to protect doorways and other openings against flooding.
U-Channel Posts are installed on either side of the opening to be protected. These unobtrusive posts remain in place permanently and when flooding is expected are designed to receive a series of aluminum planks, which are stacked as needed to the height required.
The Hammerhead™ stackable “stop log” flood barrier is able to withstand high water heights and will protect your building, residence, or facility against all types of flooding.
This flood gate system is also ideal for areas where high wind or debris is expected as the fixed posts and clamped planks are durable, rigid and designed to handle heavy stresses.
Hammerhead is the only aluminum system that features the patent pending SureGasket™ and AlumiSeal™ enhanced sealing system for added leak protection.

How Does the Hammerhead™ Flood Panel System Work?
Hammerhead™ aluminum flood barriers utilize a series of aluminum planks (“logs”) that are slotted into support posts mounted on either side of the opening to be protected.
Planks have Rubber EPDM seals on the underside and posts have Rubber EPDM in the slot, which helps create a durable seal off against water infiltration.
For added flood, wind and debris resistance, flood gate planks are tightened against the seal within the posts and bracketed down from the top, so that they stay in place in even the most extreme situations.
Rising flood waters enhance the seal due to increasing hydrostatic and hydrodynamic pressures

Hammerhead’s Patent Pending SureGasket™ Seal
Garrison’s Hammerhead® flood barriers incorporate SureGasket™, a patent pending post and plank sealing gasket that enhances the connection between the post, plank and the ground below. All flood protection systems can have slight leakage, often at the intersection between the post, ground and the plank. Garrison’s R&D department worked to create a unique arced sealing gasket that slots into the geometry of the post and also interfaces with the arc of the bottom plank seal, using a mirrored arc design. This enhances the seal where its needed most, providing the highest level of protection.
The Hammerhead AlumiSeal™ Sill Extrusion
For jobs where the ultimate in flood proofing is required, Garrison’s unique AlumiSeal™ aluminum plate extrusion helps provide an enhanced seal between the Hammerhead® bottom plank, the sill plate and the ground below.
The arced aluminum extrusion interfaces and aligns with the bottom plank seal and a closed bottom version of the SureGasket™ to create the industry’s most advanced patent pending leak protection system.
